Northern Blossom

Updated: Jan 29, 2019

An ultimate floral gem found atop the mountains of Atok, Northern Blossom Flower Farm is the newest attraction that will blow you away.

Be surrounded by various kinds of flowers.

Northern Blossom Flower Farm is located in Sayangan, Atok, Benguet. It is just a mere two-hour car ride from the City of Pines. If you feel like taking the road trip, be warned. The Halsema Highway is not for the faint hearted. Accordingly, Halsema Highway is one of the most dangerous roads in the world. Still, don't be discouraged. As long as you take extra careful while traversing then it would probably be okay. If you're not confident to drive, though, you may easily take the public transportation. You can take the UV Express vans conveniently parked in Dangwa Terminal or you may ride the buses from the same station. There are buses that leave every hour.

For tourists who are taking the bus or van, kindly inform your driver that you wish to alight at Northern Blossom. They would drop you off at the Municipal Hall in Sayangan. You would be required to register and pay a corresponding Environmental Fee before you proceed to the flower farm.

Beard and Pink Flowers

Upon reaching the farm, you will be welcomed by their friendly staff. You need to register and pay the entrance fee upon arrival. Children younger than 10 are absolutely free of charge. If your footwear is not appropriate or if you don't want to get them dirty, you may request for their rubber boots. If you're all set, then they will assign you to their guides who will patiently explain the flowers you will see. They'd give you bits of interesting facts, too! Most of all, they will diligently take your photos for the 'gram. You can go around the farm without any time limit. Just be careful to respect their rules and try not to destroy anything while taking your photos.

Tip toe through the tulips

Once you're done with the tour, you can rest your weary feet in their cozy lobby. They also serve unlimited brewed coffee and bread for free! When visiting, make sure you are all bundled up since Atok is one chilly place. During February, the temperature drops to 4 degrees which freezes most of the plants in the morning. It's quite windy during the afternoon so make sure to wear bonnets as well.
